Sunday - kids, crafts and a trip to the mountains

We started the day say we weren't going to do anything.   That is until we got a visit from a grandson...a very adorable grandson who loves life and who is ohso mellow.
We want any youngster who wants to learn and learn early.

Then after the little one went home for a nap, I set to target practice.

I actually had fun and didn't do so bad.

Off in the distance I saw some huge dandelions and couldn't wait to do something with them.

So I spray painted them!

It is so much fun to do and helps them to last longer.

Then we got a call late in the day to say they had a spinning wheel for sale form the 1820's.  The guy had it for thirty some years from home in Black Hawk before the casinos went up. He just didn't want it anymore because he was running out of room.
So we headed out for the hour and half drive up the mountain.

We could see Mount Evans in the background and the recent snows it had a couple weeks ago of three feet.

It was gorgeous up there and a big change from the flat plains we are from.

We got up to the top of the mountain we saw many of the antiques this guy collected.
Beautiful nickle plated stoves.

He had a lot of things and collectibles but this is what I came for.  It will go in the new addition.
...and it's huge!

Tomorrow I will do nothing.

peace
