Goose swim, crock-pot stuffed peppers, kids and update on remodel

Work in the city has been long hours and even longer, it seems in the summer traffic.  Is everyone headed to the mountains?
So I made use of my limited time today.
The new babies were put outside today.  The turkeys wanted to join the geese for  a quick swim.

The geese only want to swim for a little bit today .

..and out they came.

I love seeing the greenhouse in the background.

The guineas are rather shy but doing well.

After taking care of the birds, clean waters, and feeders I came in to put dinner in the crock-pot.
Veggie stuffed peppers.
Saute together:
Quinoa and brown rice packet.
A pouch of dry onion soup mix
1/2 can of drained crushed tomatoes.

Cut the tops off the peppers and take out the seeds.

Mix a can of tomato sauce, garlic, and tablespoon of honey.

Place the peppers in the crock-pot. Top with parsley.

Pour the tomato sauce over the top.

Set on low for 6-8hours.  Dude was mad at first saying he wanted something with meat and then ended up eating two of these saying... okay, hon, they were good.

Dude spent the day finishing up the roof.  He was working against the clock...winds and rain were due today.  The trim and copper metal roof goes on next then the inspection before finishing the back room.

Just to remind you what it looked like before.  It was a foreclosure that had been sitting a while filled with mice.

Tonight I checked on the kids.

Angelo wanted his kisses , of course.

peace
