Visitors, canning Thai sauce and candle making

We started the morning with a big breakfast of bacon and eggs while an herbal cheese bread is coming fresh out of the oven.  The house smelled amazing.

My granddaughter sent me this recipe she found on pintrest for scones but we made up as a loaf of dense yet wonderful herbal cheese bread. We used the herbs we grew over the summer ... parsley, rosemary and yes, thyme and added ricotta cheese. ymmm

I took this recipe and put it in a loaf pan and baked for 35 minutes.

Today we had some young friends and their aunt (a very good school chum of mine) come visit.

We canned Thai dipping sauce, rode horses and made candles.   I am so grateful they asked to come and we taught them so much...fun.

We ended up with 14 jars of sauce.

All in all a really good day.  It was nice that they wanted to come to the homestead and see what it was all about and really enjoy their time with us.
peace
