Sewing Saturday

I made another salad to share and off I went to our sewing circle.

We were meeting at Daisy's home. She has a wonderful collection of miniature sewing machines.

We started right off with show and tell.  Daisy's sister pass away at the beginning of the year. She had made this beautiful wall hanging of her and her sister.

She has this hanging in her entryway.

She , with the help of her sewing sisters, figured out the quilt top that gave her so much trouble last month.  She makes quilts for ABC. It is a group here in Colorado who donate quilts to children in crisis, homeless families, women safe houses, emergency rooms and teen mom centers.

We always have amazing potlucks.

And then we break out the sewing.

Catherine was quilting a double wedding ring for her new daughter.

I made 2 dog beds, a cushion for the front porch swing and was finishing an applique on a quilt top.

After eight years Daisy finished her Halloween quilt. It is all embroidered by hand. There are more squares below.

She made this sewing basket.

And the doll on the left.

A blue jean quilt top.

Elizabeth made a fun "family" scrabble to give as a gift and hang on the wall. So cool.

More of Daisy's quilt.

Me appliqueing.

We welcome all ages. We welcomed Catherine and Joan to our group today.

We did work with the animals before I went.  Tonight ~ time for a shower and put new sheets on the bed. Hope your weekend is wonderful.

peace
