Warm Monday.. chick moving day and National Breakfast day

I am still dragging due to the time change.  Here in Colorado we still have Daylight Savings Time and this past weekend we "sprang forward" and lost an hour of sleep. Ugh.  WAKE-UP!

The building permit is ready.  It is a great week to begin building the porches and small addition. The weather is in the 60s and 70s.  Perfect.

National Breakfast Day... Breakfast is our big meal.  So this morning it is French Toast with homemade bread, berry topping from frozen berries from a friend's garden and fresh eggs.

Moving day! Chicks must be moved from the greenhouse. It just gets too hot in there for them.

Remember the "trees" I began from the "dead" tree we cut down to make room for the back porch?  Many cuttings are now from one...  the little ones are doing well and about ready to plant.

.

New seeds came in the mail today... collards, borage, onions, mustard greens, okra, watermelon and pumpkin.  It is such an exciting time of year!

Dinner is Yakisoba from fresh veggies for this Meatless Monday. I found this fun and quick recipe to make before hitting the road and heading to work. I omitted the pork belly, aka bacon and used veggies I had on hand. I only had bean thread noodles and used those. Otherwise I used the same recipe ...smile. http://www.justonecookbook.com/yakisoba/

Gospel

LK 6:36-38

Jesus said to his disciples:
"Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

"Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you."
