Bitter cold day ... good for crafts and the tractor

The grandkids came to spend the weekend last night.  I didn't make it home due to , well, a blizzard. I stayed in Denver but Papa had a great time until I could get here today.  It is cold.  At 5:30pm it was -14 . Yep, that is a minus and a record for lowest temperature on this day was set. Here's how we celebrate a snow day or two.

When you craft with Papa he gets the hammers out .... silly man.   He did pretty good on his own with the tykes. (see the stack of movies ready to go in the background?)

Never to cold to get outside to Papa.

Drive needs to be cleared!

They made gumball ornaments.

Today I was able to get home around 3pm.  Some of the roads were plowed , others.... hmmm... yeah, not so much.  It was bitter cold and we hit a record of -14* brrrrr. Fire is going great and an awesome day to continue crafts.

Paper ball ornaments today.

I was fussy cutting for some cards.

Then paper trees.

After dinner we had a cocoa bar and mini moon pies, ohmy.

His eye is fine... he got into a wrestling match with a cat ...who has been lovingly banished to the mudroom.

Each made with love.

Now it's time for big bubble baths, Christmas movies, a wee bit of embroidering and a book under big quilts!

peace!
