Saturday on the homestead and sewing day!

It was a gorgeous warm day. Great to be out and about!

It was also a good day to go sewing but I needed something for the potluck.
Coconut Shrimp

2 lbs of peeled and deveined shrimp.
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1 cup shredded coconut
tablespoon of olive oil
salt and curry powder
2 eggs, beaten

Heat oven 450*
In a pan sauté in the oil the panko and coconut until brown.
Add a pinch of salt and curry powder.
Take off the heat.
Dip shrimp in egg and then the bread crumb mixture.
Put on a cookie sheet. Bake for 12minutes.

Then off to sew with family and friends. We get together at least once a month to create, be inspired and learn from each other.

Show and tell time.

Pat made a memory quilt.

Mary is almost finished with this amazing Northern Lights Cross Stitch.

Mary's quilt she has been working on.

And her snowmen top is finished.

Then we got to work ...well, after eating.  Melissa is crocheting scarves.

I am working on a wall hanging and practicing my quilting.

Mary is working on one she started a while ago... but aren't we all?!  *smile*

Mom is embroidering baby clothes to donate.

Catherine's quilt with Catherine, Shelly and Susan in the background.

Wow! Catherine!

Susan getting creative with a Barbie/Dinosaur creation!

I sewing with this retro '70's pattern I had sewn as a kid and wanted to make it again.

Sewing is always fun.  We laugh, we talk about life and this it is time to pack up until next time.

Stopped off to see my grandson.

Smile... he his trying to say cheese.

Anywhooo... sleep well.

peace
