Quilting day!

It is to be in the 60* today after a very icy week.  We will be giving the wood-stove a rest and cleaning it out today.  Ash is so good for our compost.  We collect it in a bucket by the stove all week and dump it a couple times in the compost.  Despite the cold, it give one visions of a spring garden to come.

The sewing sisters came over from all over the front range for our monthly quilting, potluck and getting up to date news on family and friends, plus we learn so much from each other.

Everyone makes the best food and brings to share.

Then show and tell !  Daisy is always busy.

Alethea is working on her first ever quilt. We are so glad to have her join the group.

Mom is hand embroidering a onsie.

Judy is embroidering a new quilt.

Valentines being made.

Mary does such tiny and intricate work she needs a closer look.

I am quilting my bee quilt ...finally and working on a heart mugrug.

Then dessert... cherry pie and chocolate cake.

And at the end of the day Alethea has finished the top of her quilt!!! Wooohooo!

And day 4 of Valentines... Mugrugs.

A quick clean up and I headed to Saturday evening mass.  Even though it is winter we continue to enjoy the homestead life.
