Daytrip to southern Colorado.

We got up early today.  Dude went out to take care of the animals and I cleaned the bathrooms. We got water and jackets together, some crocheting and whatever else we needed for a day out. Our goal was to see where his mom had lived in Manitou Springs and see a famous homestead area at Lake George, Colorado.  Here are some of the pictures from the trip.

The Air Force Academy.

The South Platte River at Lake George.

A wise old rock.

Dinosaurs are everywhere in Colorado but especially in Divide, Co. Colorado even has a state dino… the stegosaurus.

Then over to the Garden of the Gods.

Line painters  caused a rare traffic jam in the country.

And I did get my cowl finished.  Fall will be here in no time.

We are back on the eastern plains. I made dinner while Dude napped. Time for a walk and then reading time.

peace
