Counting our blessings

The last few days have been challenging but we are up for a challenge, otherwise, we wouldn't even be homesteading. We do know from just living that life can change in an instant.  This is just a bump in the road.

Challenges

We could not get to most of the gardens today since water is still standing.

Hmmmm beans....

Onions

Tomatoes

Honey Crisp Apples

The outside of the greenhouse.

Positives...

When you can't get in the garden ...bake.  Black Rye... it was sooo good.

When you have scraps...

Sew!  I made microwave 6 bowl holders so I don't burn my hands when I use the microwave at work.

And friends make the time go faster.

Dinner!  We have food.

Kerouac who braved the storms on top of the coop (who needs to go into a stinkin' bird house!) is alive and very well.

Baby turkeys are doing well and ask for a hug.

Inside the greenhouse...

Everyone road out the storms and came out without a scratch. Friends don't  leave friends in a storm.

The chickens and guineas all are well.

And soon we will be welcoming baby guineas.

Love for everyone.

Storms didn't bother the chickens' laying.

Now time for a movie from the library - yeah for free stuff.

Facing our challenges is not a bad thing, we have faith and family. That's what really matters for us. Thank you God for all the blessings.

peace
