Remodel - Before and Afters

We have been remodeling since the day we moved it.  It was house owned by the bank and a mess of mice. We lived in one room for the first year of the  6 years we have been here. There was a time when I wouldn't post pictures of the house due to fear of being judged.  There were times I never thought it would start to look good. Family said we should just tear down the house and start all over.  We have a long way to go but it is beginning to look good.

As you look at these pictures note that Dude, in his sixties,  has done almost all of the work himself with only family helping here and there. (even my mom in her 80's would travel out here with dinners for us)  So, enjoy and know that it is possible.

Then a window was cut out.

We will keep you posted. We have the back rooms to finish that were just added. The new large bird house needs to be finished. The floors and bedroom need to be done and the barn needs to go up.
See? The journey is never ending. Dude's skill is amazing and I am darn lucky to have him.

peace
