Getting ready for the storm and sewing day 11

We started early this morning getting ready for the snow storm (it is snowing already in the mountains and a tornado east of us on the plains).  We made sure there is enough food and warmth for our animals.  Someone kept photo-bombing...

We made sure we had enough drinking water in case the power goes out.  The five gallon jugs are filled for the toilets and to do dishes.

If  the power doesn't go out but we can't go outside we a backup plan.

New fire lighters are in and wood is ready for the stove.

Just for fun... Dude adores his granddaughters but he was thinking of his grandsons when he got them each John Deere overalls.  Adorable.

Day 11 Sewing Challenge.

I use coasters a lot and made these for the sewing room. I was a wee bit disappointed that they turned out caddywompus.
