Homestead is about family

Family came over for an afternoon of laughter, fun, talk and frog catching. 

We got a craft ready... bird houses to paint. 

Tables set. 

Pies made.

And they came... some with an agenda to catch toads.

Some just to talk to Aunties.

Laughter was definitely a must.

Food was  prepared (some from the garden, some from our canning)

A storm rolled through but it helped the cause to catch toads.

and eggs.

Turkeys were hugged and learned about.

Things were learned and ways of the homestead were passed on.

It was a good day.

It's what the homestead is about to us.
