We got an early call that one of our granddaughters wanted to stay a few days with us on the homestead. YAY! They live about 2 hours away so we grabbed the dog and headed south...
With all the geese...
With a few crafts
and with a tiny bit of snow on the ground...
To pick up a little sprite and get a big hug from a son! All worth it.
Came home to make quesadilla -- cashew chocolate coconut with strawberries and chicken and cheese quesadillas.
Oh sooo good.
Then we recycled some shutters from my old house.
Yeah....looks good.
Then to the sewing room to make a fabric postcard for her family.
Good job!
Then out to work the horses. They worked them and rode them for a few hours. The horse got a good workout and all were exhausted... humans and horses.
I couldn't stay to watch them riding. One of our quilting sisters own sister pass away from cancer. It is like old sewing bees where we support each other where ever we can. We had a half a row of quilt sisters to help hold up another.
(this was before the service)
oh and here it is... the cap I began on the road trip. Another red cap to donate to the American Heart Association.
Norman approves.
Happy Third Sunday Advent! We will have the granddaughter light our Guadete (rose) candle. Joy, joy, joy!
peace
