Sunday we cut back the lettuce and spinach and picked ... more radishes and beets. Well, we won't go hungry!
I had so much fun the day before making trading cards, that I made fabric postcards Sunday.
I couldn't find my applique mat but figured the tray liners for the dehydrator were probably made of the same thing and might would work and it did!
I made these two fun postcards.
Sunday began with a cake in the oven... a white one.
Then another garden salad, same as the other. The beets are raw and Dude actually liked it with a vinaigrette. It was going with us to the shearing party and another prairie sister's homestead.
The newly planted peppers were standing at attention this morning saluting the sun and a new wonderful day.
I checked on the trees to see who survived the final frost ... two honey crisp apples,
a very wee plum,
and a peach.
Then the planting began. These are going out from the greenhouse and to the front.
I checked on Peppy. She is late but doing well.
The giant pumpkins were being tucked in.
I planted onions... lots of onions.
My rows aren't as straight as Dude's but they will do. A prayer was said with each one for a very good friend with cancer. There were MANY onions to plant.
The pumpkins were snug.
Then it was off to the shearing party... this one is for alpaca and llamas.
Goats and kids were nearby.

The goal...
A picnic was set up in the background.
We all brought something to share.
Then home again to clean up and plant tomatoes.
And watch the hens enjoy freedom.
Oh and finished up that cake to celebrate warmer days ahead. (Dude was so surprised, I love his look when he saw it)
