Cooking and remodeling day

I started early this morning heading for the library and getting Dude some electrolyte drinks for his project today. 
Then I put the brisket in the oven... simple just ketchup and onion soup mixed together. 


After 6.5 hours of slow cooking at 275* it came out shredded perfect. 



We will save this for the Easter Celebration. 


I did house cleaning while Dude worked outside. 

Dude started the morning here. His goal was to get the floor done. 


Building materials are every where. 



While that was going on the meat hens were growing every minute. 


Thank goodness they are butchered tomorrow. They are probably 5-7 lbs each. 


Chili was also made for Easter. Ohmy it is delish!


For our lunch I made cabbage soup. Dude actually enjoyed it and asked if we could have that for Easter....oh, if I had only known. 




And wala! 


He got the floor done just as the sun was setting.  


Shutting down until Easter Sunday.
