The day started out normal enough. Dude made a new hay trough from scraps. The goats loved it.
Dude and Angelo talked about the wonders of the world.
Then we knew something was up when Pepper didn't want to go for a walk.
The boys were having a wonderful time.
Running Water came out but Pepper stopped and went back to the barn.
She was going to have her kids today!
The yard became the "waiting room" for the other goats.
Pepper was unbelievably calm. Not like our other goats that screamed and cried during labor. 5:55pm her water broke. She barely moans. Every once in awhile her sister calls out to her a word of encouragement and Pepper called back. She seems more curious than scared. She begins to push, then gets up and moves around the straw to make a bed. 6:17pm a blast of fluid comes out. She gets up and eats. 6:25pm the classic lip curl ... hard labor and here they come...!
They are adorable, healthy, one boy, one girl, one black, one white and a very loving mom goat.
