Big Thunder Draft Horse Competition

Today we headed to Northern Colorado to see the Big Thunder Draft Horse Competition. It was great fun and here some pictures of our day.

About Me

I guess you could say that homesteading was in my blood. Grandpa would feed the wild horses that came down from the mountains of Colorado. Dad had bees. He loved gardening and was into survivalist methods. His "camping" books kept our imaginations running with all the cool things we could do in the outdoors! Mom was always busy with something: canning, sewing and keeping six kids busy. So, it was a natural progression and a round about path that started me on my life as a homesteader.

This blog is about its challenges and successes along the way. I’m not an expert at anything, but love to learn and share what I know. I am a wife, mom, grandmom, homesteader, quilter, crafter and someone trying to leave the world just a tiny bit better than when I found it.
