We were off the homestead today. We began with delivering a plant and visiting my youngest niece.
Then a stop for coffee.
The day was gorgeous.
The mountains were in clear view, it warm and not a cloud in the sky.
We met a friend along the way. It was hunting for prairie dogs.
When Dude was young he took 4-H class here. Since they were farmers and raised cattle already, he decided to take leather-work classes.
Next stop was up north in Fort Collins, Co. at the Budweiser Brewery to see the Clydesdale Horses. They are only available to visit few times a year.
Eric is the lead horse you see in parades and commercials.
We are making sure we get some type of exercise every day and walked the grounds of the brewery.
Then they brought out the horses. This is Nomo and 18.2 hands tall! He takes up the rear of the team.
Dude was so happy to see these mighty horses.
We stopped on the way home for Italian food.
We took all the backroads home.
I told Dude -"look at that beautiful soil!" He told me to roll down the window. Stinky! Okay it was manure!
I will share more of our day tomorrow.
peace
I have always loved the Budweiser horses especially at Christmas! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThey were wonderful and I was amazed we could go up to them and pet them.
