Snow day

Faith -  Winter bring reflection and time to slow down and focus on God.  Today is the Feast of St Lucy.  A day to bring light to these very short and cold days.

It was a bit chilly heading to church this morning. I had trouble getting out off the land so Dude trucked me in to mass.  

It was Gaudete Sunday, the Sunday of Joy and the vestments of rose.

 

Reading 2  Phil 4:4-7

Brothers and sisters:
Rejoice in the Lord always.
I shall say it again: rejoice!
Your kindness should be known to all.
The Lord is near.
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

As you can see, even though it was snowy it was beautiful !

 

On the short days of winter we look forward to celebrations and gatherings to warm and light up our days! So glad to see family and friends tonight.

 

A little crocheting(I am making these) was done and a ham was baked this morning to be broken down for four to five meals.

 

Time to find those warm footy pajamas that were put away last spring and curl up with a good book.
